How Times Change- The Mouseketeers at Disney World
This is on US Disney+
Story is how the ‘Mousketeers’ (a bunch of singing and dancing kids) in 1977 visit WDW. There’s a story to it. Very interesting to watch as you see WDW extensively back in the 1970s. However times have certainly changed: -After checking into Contemporary they all go to River Country. No health and safety whatsoever, with everyone piling down the slides at the same time, even climbing the wrong way up them etc. - For a laugh they push each other into the now supposedly deadly Bay Lake, pushing their friends in off the end of the pier which is still there. Interestingly only the circular Contemporary pool was there then. - See the arcade before the advent of video games, pinball and skeeball was the order of the day. - Some of it would raise eyebrows now. They have this adult male ‘boss’ Mr Brown and one young girl goes into his room after a shower with just a towel on. On another bit two of the young girls are lusting over a tennis player who looks about 25/30. They are in Magic Kingdom a lot (no other park then) and go camping to Fort Wilderness. Added into the fascination of this programme is it has all the original ad breaks and the 1977 US TV adverts. Definately one to watch from a WDW history perspective.
