October 22 flights

Hi,

I've just found this forum - what an incredible resource! I'm planning a first trip to WDW for 2 adults from 15th-29th Oct 2022 (unfortunately we're tied to school holidays, hence going over half-term).

Our park tickets & hotel are booked, but I'm really struggling with flights. Lots seem to be sold out already, and those that are available with the main carriers like BA are extremely expensive - around £3.3k per person, return. Could anyone more experienced suggest what I might be doing wrong - or is that just what we should expect to pay?! Do I need to wait for more flights to become available?

We'd ideally like to fly direct from London or Birmingham. Any advice greatly appreciated, thank you . . .

I booked last week with BA. LHR to MCO 2a2c in economy for 21 Oct to 6 Nov and it was £2.8k total.

Try looking at Tampa as an airport and do check Ba site as I’d be surprised if there was none there

The issue with Melbourne was the distance. Car hire looked vague

Try look at flying into Tampa or Miami instead.

We have flights booked with BA flying from Gatwick-Tampa and the Orlando-Heathrow (23/10/22-11/11/22).

With 1 day car hire and flights, we have paid £2700 for 2A and 3C. Probably the most expensive I have paid for flights for October half term but not awful prices really considering.
