I was the same as you, had the AZ first and second no real issue except for very swollen arm after first jab.
The question was asked because I mentioned that I now have a needle fear due to having multiple surgeries on joints.

He asked if I'd had a reaction to the GA, I said I have very low BP/heart rate and violent vomiting even with anti sickness meds in the GA mix. Kept overnight for monitoring (for what would be a day case) and IV fluids. He said I was probably allergic to P.E.G.
Hence no Pfizer or Moderna booster as they both contain PEG.

When you go for a booster mention this as they may have some AZ vaccine available.
I'm still waiting for a new batch to be sent to the vaccination centre, but they can't give me a date yet!

I had my Pfizer booster 9 days ago, no-one asked me anything like that. I've had serious reactions to general anaesthetic & it is on my hospital notes incase. I feel OK, fingers crossed.

I am in a similar predicament, having had a mild anaphylactic reaction to a colonoscopy prep containing PEG in July. This was just a few weeks after my second Moderna dose so I do wonder whether this was somehow connected to my body's (over)reaction to the vaccine (I have previously had the same prep with no issues at all).

Obviously, I am not going to experiment with a Pfizer or Moderna booster, but am also reluctant to have AZ as I am at a higher risk for blood clots due to another condition. I am hoping that Novavax is approved very soon and will be made available as a booster option in the UK. Can anyone here shed any light on this by any chance?

I called 119 who were unable to tell me what the screening requirements/allergy info is for Pfizer/Moderna and suggested I call my GP. The surgery were none the wiser and advised me to just go to my booster appt and tell them my background so that the decision can be made by the person administering the jab on the day.

Iím feeling like I should just stay in! Iím already getting quite anxious about going anywhere.
The GA thing is news to me. Iíll have to add that to my list of questions for the GP.
I spent a week in hospital after a tonsillectomy due to a reaction to GA and even had an issue with a local at the dentist! All I know is that itís adrenalin related. I was 15 and nobody really discussed it with me.
Add an aspirin allergy into the mix and being borderline on the age range for AZ with clotting being a possible issue, Iím not feeling too confident about all of this now

My family member had her first moderna vaccine. When returning for her 2nd jab they asked about any reaction to the first she mentioned a swollen neck/ face the same side of the jab. They determined it was to risky for a second and she would have to go to Oxford for her second jab to be monitored. She had her first dose in May and has only just had her 2nd at Oxford she was given AZ.

It is a long wait if you have to go to a specialist place so they can observe you

Surely not everyone who has a booster jab has had a GA. There must be many people who will not know if they would have an allergic reaction and have just gone ahead and had the booster. I dont recall any reports on reactions other than a sore arm or a bit under the weather for a couple of days. I dont have any reaction to GA but still had a sore arm for a day or two following my booster.
