Changing flights booked with a voucher

Bit of a niche question and I will ring BA tomorrow to check but hoping someone else might have the answer here’s

I have flights booked with a voucher howevee I would like to change the flights to a different airport. I used avios and a 2 for 1 voucher to book the initial flight. Is this possibles? I would like to change my flights from LHR - MCO to LHR - LAX.

It’s a cancel and rebook. If there’s Avios availability for your new flights, they’ll do it all for you on the phone. If there’s not then you can’t do it.

I made the exactly same change a couple of months ago. I couldn’t get through on the phone however so ended up cancelling MCO flights via the chat and then making a new booking myself once the voucher and points were back in my account.

It cost me an admin fee this way of £35 per person, whereas if I had managed to get through on the phone I believe ot would have been free of charge. I couldn’t cope with the stress of the phone queue any longer though.
