Hopefully the 7 day quarantine aspect does not happen. It does say it is not in the draft proposal being discussed at the moment. I find it hard to believe that it would be added and get through.
Best case scenario for us in this is that the 24hr test goes ahead and the 3-5 day test is unsupervised and unchecked so we can just take our own tests in our cases. We fly next Saturday, with our current test booked for Wednesday. We said we could start getting excited after the Wednesday test, but now that will literally be on the Friday that we drive down to Heathrow. That will be an interesting day! I will not book another holiday for the foreseeable after this experience. I'm fairly organised and positive but it has been far too involved for 10 days away and spending £6k. The drip drip of further expense is hard to swallow. I should have kept the money. It's only for our kids (and secondly potential money lost) that we are still mustering enthusiasm to persevere. I say this as a DVC member with an assumption of going every year. I will rent our 320 points out next year unless things significantly improve. |

You’ll be fine tomorrow 👍 Just hope it’s a two week notice period so we can get out there before they bring it in 🤞🏻

The 7 day quarantine is completely OTT and would make many cancel there holidays. I hope it doesn't happen.

I actually think it is positive that at the moment they want to move it to one day and potentially test inbetween. I think these rules will certainly see it through the Christmas and New Year period and then a regroup once more is known.
If this is the announcement tomorrow then it will only be changed if things start changing badly in the New Year |

I saw Biden’s chief epidemologist say ‘If it were up to me, only fully vaccinated would travel’. This is the situation now for over 18’s so he can only mean kids.
It will probably take 1-2 weeks to come in.
