Yes but about 45 mins south of N'Castle - Hartlepool. No kids to worry about and DH drove. First time we've ever gone from London, we usually fly VA from Manchester but the price difference with BA this time made it worth it.

Just a little update - I contacted Disney on our return, to say that the CMs at the resort should have been given info about the firework testing which woke us at midnight on 4 nights so they could let guests know. Amazingly, and unexpectedly, they have given us a 1 night stay at the Grand Floridian in a Theme Park view room.
We've added it to the end of next years trip

Thankyou for reading. It is, and unexpected, considering I actually told them that everything else was wonderful as always and that we'd already booked to return - so it wasn't even a full 'complaint' as such.
