Dec car hire prices.

We are keeping everything crossed to be able to go away for Christmas this year but every time we look at car hire (Alamo) the prices are crazy!
Is that normal for over the Christmas period?
The cheapest is an 8 person mini van for £450 something for 10 days.

Just wandering if it’s normal for the higher prices or if it’s because of the current circumstances.

Thanks

Certain dates over Xmas are always expensive. Especially New Years Eve.

What are your dates?

As Tom says, it depends on your dates... for example:
14th Dec and earlier for 10 days is £360
15th Dec for 10 days is £664
16th Dec and later for 10 days is £727
So big increase in price in the run up to Christmas... My supplier is usually quite good at giving me some better prices in order to match / beat other websites so I'd be happy to take a look at that for you?

Hi both, apologies for such a delayed response..
I have continued to check on car hire prices but no changes (optimistic I know!)..We always like to go for a bigger car even though its just the 3 of us but wondering whether to go smaller this time just to save us some money.
Our dates are 17th dec to the 27th we tend to go with Alamo, standard SUV and the price I have is £655.09

Thanks

Can you send me a quick email and I'll have a word with my supplier tomorrow. I'm confident I'll be able to beat that by quite a bit, hopefully. How many drivers do you need?
