Budget Toll Charges When Using Their Transponder?
Hi just had a quick look on Budget site and in one place it says
Budget offers a convenient e-Toll service for travelers who want to drive on toll roads. You’ll be charged for the cost of tolls, plus a service fee of $3.95 per day, plus the cost of tolls. This fee applies to each day of your rental period, even on the days when you don’t use the e-Toll. The maximum service fee is $19.75 for short-term rentals or $19.75 per month for long-term rentals. Anytime you drive through a toll booth without using an alternative form of payment (such as cash or card), you opt into the Budget e-Toll service. Toll fees may take 4-8 weeks to be billed to you through the card you used to pay for your rental. Then Elsewhere in its Florida bit it says this e-Toll fees (Standard): If you use the e-Toll service at any time during your rental, you agree to pay a convenience fee of $5.95 for each day on which you incur a toll up to a maximum amount of $29.75 per rental period (not to exceed 30 days). In addition, you will pay all tolls incurred at the maximum prevailing non-discounted or cash rates posted by the toll authority Which one is it?

No idea, but I'd take a visitor toll pass if you're arriving at MCO. No admin/service fees and easy to use.

There is hardly any need to use tolls apart from MCO and going to KSC.

The $19.95 is the old amount. Budget now charge an admin fee of $29.95 to use their toll system. Tolls are in addition to this. Just drive straight through the toll in order to activate it... They also offer e-toll unlimited which is $60 a week inclusive of tolls... Very expensive.

I've been checking the VTP web site every day (sad I know) but it's still suspended.
OP Andy at DFCH has explained the Avis/Budget Sunpass process. This web site explains all the toll roads in Florida including the few cashless ones. Sadly as Andy of DFCH says the link in this web site to Avis/Budget Sunpass charges is hopelessly out of date. sunpass/en/about/whe...eSunPass.shtml Mick

The Avis/Budget toll scheme makes even the Dollar one attractive. Never thought I'd say that. Mick
