DLP First Timers Trip Report - 4 Day Stay @ Sequoia Lodge Feb 23 DAY 3

Today was our 6 year wedding anniversary so we were really looking forward to today.

We started off again by having breakfast then headed into Walt Disney Studios. Jenson wanted to do the Stitch Live show so needed to wait for an English showing of that. I thought this was going to be a little like Turtle Talk with Crush in WDW but it's not as interactive. Still funny and a nice way to rest the feet.

We then wanted to do Cars Road Trip as it was the only thing we'd not done, this was great with a lovely surprise halfway round. There's a lovely spot for pictures on the way past.

I then said we should go to Avengers Campus again, which was good as Black Widow was there and we hadn't seen her yet. Jenson wanted to go on flight force and when we got off Iron Man appeared near the quinjet so we were thrilled, but we soon realised it wasn't just Iron Man. They all appeared! It was amazing!

We then headed to TOT and ended up in a different lift to our first two rides, this was the best lift yet. I think there are 6 lifts and each one has a different sequence.
We called time on Studios now as we were coming back later for the drone show and took a trip to DL Park.

We did a lap of the park on the railway and then walked round to Hyperspace Mountain, we then went to Big Thunder and after that visited the Dragon. All this time we'd been thinking the entrance was outside the castle and it's been closed off, but there is an entrance inside the castle too! Don't miss it, it's great.

In between this we went to Mickeys Philharmonic and we were really disappointed, for some reason it was in 2D and we only found out once we were in rather than being told beforehand. Not all of the effects worked either, no water sprays 😔

Andrew decided to leave and go back to the hotel at this point to watch some football which just left me and Jenson to watch Stars on Parade which was a brilliant parade. Once this finished we headed over to Big Thunder again to ride in the almost dark, I asked the cast member nicely if we could have back row and that was fine. This was so much fun at the back. I tried the next day to ask for back row and the cast member said it was only for the wheelchair access queue so I think it really does depend on if there is a queue waiting.

We then had a reservation at The Steakhouse in Disney Village so off I went to meet the husband there. The kids menu here is not brilliant. Jenson hated all of his food except his pudding. Andrew wasn't enamoured by the set menu choices so he ordered off the main menu. I was happy enough with all of mine and enjoyed the meal. Would we go back, probably not.

Finally, it was time for the drone show. We had 45 minutes before the start of this so we had a quick go on Crushs Coaster and then went to the disabled viewing area to watch the show. I cannot fathom how AMAZING this show was. If you are going between now and the 8th May, you have to watch this. I really hope Disney make it permanent. Leaving the park at the end of this was horrific. Worse than illuminations. BUT there was absolutely enough time to get from there across to DL Park if you’re wanting to do both in one night. Walked back to the hotel and crashed ready for home time tomorrow!
