It’s Christmas ‘22-Disneyland Paris-Day 3

22nd December

We were all up at 7.30. Showered, hair washed and dressed and we had a quick walk to McDonald’s. We were there for 9.15. We had decided quite quickly that McDonald’s was the cheapest and easiest food place so most of our meals are going to be here now. I don’t particularly like that as I prefer variety but I’m finding the food in the parks bad value and also bad quality. I’m sure burgers for a few days will be ok. We went into so many other places to choose food and no one wanted anything but from there so I chose my battles.

Scott wanted to go back on tower of terror so we got back into Hollywood studios for 10am and it wasn’t long before we were on the ride.

I had Scarlett this time. We were at the front and I held her hand. I think she likes the rides but is also scared a bit at the same time. Off this one and Georgia asks to go back on the avengers ride.

I really don’t like this ride but the kids do so we walked on within 10 minutes and my head was rattling around again. I had Scarlett again and as I pushed down the shoulder bar she moved her arm and it got stuck so a cast member had to sort it out for us.

Last things left to do in this park was frozen and magician mickey. I wanted to go back on crush’s coaster but Scott didn’t want to as his legs didn’t fit and I couldn’t take both of them on myself. It was 11am so they went to queue for Mickey and the magician while I found a toilet. We ended up queuing for 45 minutes before getting into the theatre. I didn’t realise that I could use the priority card for this show as I didn’t read it properly and I’d been out twice to the toilets. The Mickey and the magician was a good show. We saw Cinderella, belle, Elsa, and the genie. We really enjoyed it.

We were out by 12.30 and decided to go get a burger for lunch. We also tried one of the Daim burgers which was nice.

As it was not raining we wanted to make the most of the weather so we went back into the park at around 1.15ish.

We went and had a look at the dragon under the castle. Brilliant when it started moving as it made the kids jump.

The kids wanted to go on big thunder mountain again so we did but it started raining again. Haven’t been on this ride in the dry yet.

When we got off we got a cheesecake on a stick, the kids bought some popcorn for later in the 30th bucket, some fizzy laces and a commemorative coin.

We walked back to the room by 3.30pm. The kids ate the popcorn and the gingerbread from the day before and played on their phones while I had a sleep. Literally couldn’t stay up this time and Scott covered me with the quilt so I was gone. The kids stayed quiet. I only had an hour ish as we wanted to go out later. I was up for 5pm, we tried to make a plan for the rest of the evening. We decided to go to the bar on-site. Scott was fancying some beer, after we had looked at all the places we still chose to go to the one at Cheyenne.

We ordered beignets and pear hot chocolate for me. Scott had beer and crisps. The kids shared an orange juice. They ended up eating most of the food as we just wanted to try them so we shared. There was still loads of time before going out for some dinner so Scott had another beer and I had the raspberry latte. I don’t think they put the raspberry in it though as it wasn’t sweet and I really didn’t enjoy it.

Quick walk to McDonald’s and we got some burgers and nuggets with chips to share. The nuggets are better than the burgers I’ve found and we didn’t want another happy meal you as it’s the same as yesterday.

We went back into the park for some rides. We did Pinocchio and Snow White. Both were very boring but I feel like I have to try them. Very much like the Winnie the Pooh ride. Both were literally walk at that time of night. We still had ages yet before the fireworks so we went on buzz. Scott thought it was 3D again that he hated because of his glasses. It was an okay ride. Scott still won as usual and I was last.

We managed to get a spot near a billboard for a little bit of shelter around 9.25pm. There was quite a wait but the kids were good and shared some fizzy laces they had bought. There was another family that kept trying to take our space which was a bit annoying. The fireworks were at 10pm. Georgia went on Scott’s shoulders and Scarlett went on my back. My god they are heavy things now. Not like when we first took them and they were both on our shoulders singing and dancing around. I miss them being that little, and now I look back I’m so glad we took them to Florida even though they don’t remember I do and it’s one of those memories I’m glad I have.

We managed to see most of the projections and the fireworks but I don’t think they were a patch on Florida’s. I’m not sure they were worth standing in the rain late at night for.

The fireworks only lasted 20mins. We had a quick walk back with a lot of other people doing the same. Took a bit longer than usual to get back, it was about 10.45. I was thirsty so we did go to the little shop and got a coke, some crisps and a beer. We finished the drinks, got changed and everyone was ready in bed for 11.30pm. Didn’t take us long to sleep as everyone was shattered.
