Any tips please?

Hopefully it'll be quieter next Thursday as schools ars back! We went Thursday just gone and it was busy. We're passholders thankfully. Got on 2 rides by 3pm and went home.
It's a small park compared to alton towers. So not as tiring walking around. The rides break down a lot, some don't seem to open at 10am. Hyperia queue didn't seem to open till 10.30. Swarm and Stealth were also open later. Swarm broke down for us while queueing. That's my third time that has happened! I say pick your favourite rides and go for those. I've been twice during term time. Once with my husband in June...it was so busy again. We couldn't understand it. Got on 4 rides that day. Queued over 2 hours for Saw. However I went with school in June also, although it was a rainy day and I got on 6 rides in 2 hours. Go figure. The park was empty. Do you like roller coasters? Stealth and Swarm are my favourite there. I guess you gotta try Hyperia. I still prefer Velocicoaster over Hyperia. I quite like Saw too. Go on that. I'd say Nemesis would be lower down my list. I wouldn't bother with Colussus. Used to be my favourite 25 years ago! It is rough as now. Walking dead ride is rubbish. Not worth a long queue. |

If you decide to do the water rides tidal wave especially (if they are open as often closed) be prepared to get drenched not a just a little wet but soaked to the skin
With storm surge you sit in a rubber ring and your feet are in up to ankle deep water -didn’t realise the first time we rode it but now take a change if footwear as you have to put your feet on the floor - some people remove shoes though it states you must wear them. Not pleasant walking around in soggy trainers all day. Also if your unlucky enough to be sat at the back as it goes up the ramp the water raises up your legs ds joggers were soaked up to the knees. The park itself is not that big but the signposting isn’t great so worth using the app to work out where you’re going. Like the pp said there are often delays in some rides opening Last time we went hyperia didn’t open till gone 11am and tidal wave was closed till after lunch - breakdowns/temporary closures happen regularly there’s been at least 1 every time we’ve been. |

I had heard that the rides break down a lot so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they're ok as we love rollercoasters. DS 17 and DD 22 are desperate to get on Hyperia as they loved Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi... I just hope it's open! 😬🤞🏻

We were at Thorpe on Thursday and queue times were great. The longest wait was Hyperia (max 40 mins), many ride like nemesis , swarm were walk ons in the afternoon. Stealth was not working and the raft ride is not due back till may.

My DD wanted to go for The Halloween event so we going on the 1st November so we doing Scarefest on the 26th October then going to Butlin’s Bognor for 4 nights and then drive home and the following day so Thorpe park. Looking at staying overnight then go home the following day and then go back to work the following day.
