I remember when AKL was a viable resort destination. Check the price on this in 2019 (with DDP! )

Absolutely crazy to compare the price of AKL now.

There was a time you’d get an appetiser, main and dessert with the free dining. That was ages ago. Also a phase of getting 30% off OKW and Saratoga Springs with free dining……… they also had the last free dining date in December within 14 days of Xmas Day. What can you say. The price of Disney now is not for the faint hearted!

I really didn’t realise it was that long ago I did it! I was just shocked what you get these days! We went to a few signature restaurants over two weeks after saving our credits too, Narcoossees, California Grill, the other posh one at Grand Floridian! Dont think that will happen again! And I remember being left over with loads of credits at the end of the fortnight.

All that’s really gone is a snack/dessert. I’m not justifying it but just putting it into perspective. It’s still 2 meals and a snack a day.

Dining plan is very rarely worth buying, hence why virtually no DVC owners or renters ever pay for it.

We stayed at All Star Movies last year and got x2 quick service meals per night, x1 snack credit per night and a refillable mug. Not as good as we have previously had it but it looks like it has been thinned down even further this year.

Did you get that free or did you pay for the Quick Service Dining Plan? It's just that last year Disney did a food and merchandise credit.

We paid for it but also got the merch credit on top so we had that to spend plus the dining plan. It was great, I have never had so much money to spend on Disney merchandise.
