It’s Christmas ‘22-Disneyland Paris-Day 2

21st December

We woke up at 8am. Showered and dressed we were out the door and at McDonald’s for breakfast by 9.30.

We were tired from yesterday so wasn’t planning on rushing around. We bought a brunch offer of two muffins coffee and orange juice then we added chocolate pancakes and another coffee.

Off to the studios

We made it into the park at 10am.

First thing Scott wanted to do was tower of terror. It was always broken down in Florida so neither of them had been on this. They were both a little scared. I bricked it when we got in as I expected it to move on the track like the Florida one did but no this one just went straight into it. I was sat with Georgia and I coached her through it. She didn’t want to open her eyes but did in the end. I explained it was just up and down. Scott was just laughing at Scarlett screaming, no sympathy.
Another one I came off feeling sick but at least we got a big ride done. We walked towards avengers and next was Spider-Man. We don’t like these as it’s 3d glasses but it had to be done. I lost at killing the bots. Scott has to win as usual. We were on a roll so checked that Georgia could fit on, she did so we went for it on the new avengers ride. It was very much like space mountain, dark inside upside down rollercoaster with a little bit of avengers.

The girls wanted to go on crush’s coaster next. Scott wasn’t impressed as he couldn’t get his legs in but we all thought it was fun. It was another dark inside ride though. I’m missing a lot of the theaming that we usually get at Disney. It just doesn’t have the magic.

Ratatouille was up next. We passed some cool Christmas booths, we stopped for sauerkraut for Scott and two crepes to share. Also a hot chocolate. They all thought the Nutella was the best one. I also bought a gingerbread man for later. Ratatouille was good. I think we were more impressed with the technology of the trackless ride more than the ride itself. It was about 12.20 now and we needed to get to the other park for the “Disney stars on parade” that was at 12.55.

After the parade we went back to Hollywood studios to finish off the last few rides. The kids and Scott wanted some more crepes so we got two to share. We tried to go on the RC racer but they didn’t think Georgia was tall enough even though she went on the other rides at 120cm. So instead we went on the car rally race. I thought this looked boring but hubby said it was like the old back lot tour that used to be in MGM. It was a walk on, and it was really boring. The best bit was the water in the canyon. I remember that bit from back lot tour but there really wasn’t anything to lose to it apart from that.

At this point we were done with the parks for a bit. We went to Starbucks on the way back to the hotel, cookie, cinnamon roll, coffee and hot chocolate. The cookie was nice but I didn’t enjoy the hot chocolate. It was a quick 10mins walk back. We were back at the room for 2.30pm. I might have fallen asleep a little sat up while the kids were playing on their phones but not for long as it was very uncomfortable. Just long enough for the girls to get a picture and make fun of me.

We were hoping to do the Christmas parade so we left at 4pm, quick walk back to the parks and we stood near the Christmas tree waiting for the parade. It was raining and Georgia was being mardy so me and Scarlett took photos instead. The parade was at 4.35.

It was a good parade.

The kids enjoyed it even though it was in the rain and we had horrible wet trainers.

We wanted to make sure we did all the Christmas things so we had a quick walk over to Tomorrowland and those three waited in line for the Christmas sing along show this was at 5.25 while I went to the toilet. I did tell the cast member but when I came out they were just going through the door, I quickly joined them but then the cast members shouted at me and said next time I should queue. To be honest they didn’t need to do that when they had seen the disability pass to start with, and rest of my family queued but instead it made a bit of a scene. No matter though.

The Christmas sing along was ok. It wasn’t as good as I hoped. I’m not sure if it’s cos it’s in French a lot. But it was nice and festive.

When we came out Scott decided he wanted to go back on space mountain as we were next to it so we used the pass and were on in less than 10 minutes. I really don’t like rides anymore but the kids loved it. There face didn’t look like it on the photo though 😂

With nothing much else to do we went for dinner instead at McDonald’s.

It was really busy instead. The kids and Scott managed to get a table upstairs while I waited for the food. We both had a burger meal and the kids had happy meals and apple pies.
Our burgers had Brie on it which wasn’t very nice so had to pick those bits off.

We decided that we would go back to the room and dry our shoes then go to the fireworks later on.

We got back to the room and used the hair dryer on our socks and shoes which was something we were doing often now due to the weather. We got back to the room around 7.15ish. The kids put the tv on and Scott played on his phone. I might have fallen asleep for an hour. I often get tired unfortunately. We all got ready in our shoes and coats and went downstairs at 9pm to go back for the fireworks only to realise that it was absolutely throwing it down. We didn’t fancy going out in that at all so back up to the room, get ready for bed instead. They should have just left me asleep lol.
