It’s Christmas ‘22-Disneyland Paris-Day 4
23rd December
![]() Another slow start. We woke up at 8 after our late night yesterday and as was usual here we got showered and dressed and to McDonald’s for 10. We had left the luggage in the baggage drop off. We had the brunch option so 5 muffins and 4 drinks. ![]() ![]() No one was sure what they wanted to do today so I started to organise instead. The kids chose the rides they liked the most and we repeated them. We went back into Disneyland park at 10.45. Quickly hopped onto space mountain. The kids loved it, me not so much as my hair got tangled in the restraints so I couldn’t get off. Next was pirates of the Caribbean. I took the girls on my own as mardy ≈≈≈≈ stayed outside as he didn’t want to do it again. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I wanted to see the lion king. They all didn’t but I got my way so we went there at 12 for the 12.15 show. We were straight in as we used the pass this time after forgetting to the other day. This pass has been a god send for me. I’ve seen inside every toilet in both parks due to my issues and they are not to a very good standard at all. I expected better from Disney. Anyway lion king was really good. Like a broadway show. They were all saying they were glad we went after. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Coming out of lion king and we were near thunder mountain, the most favourite ride so we did that again. They still didn’t have the macaroon on stick I wanted. Instead we went to get some in the shop. They had different pictures printed on them and looked cool. I liked the raspberry and lemon ones best. ![]() ![]() ![]() Just before we left Scott backtracked and wanted to try the railroad steam train so we did that. Can’t say I was very impressed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Took us some more time that we had to kill anyway. After that we went back to McDonald’s for about 2.30. We had two happy meals, the kids chose a book. I had nuggets and chips and Scott had burger and chips with two cokes. No clue why we chose books as we ended up leaving them there for other kids as they were in French, how idiotic could we all be to forget that. Least we had a good giggle. We had a slow walk back around 3pm. Didn’t take long but we all went to the toilet and changed our shoes and socks for some clean and warm ones. My trainers were that damaged that we ended up throwing them. It was a good hour of waiting before the taxi came to pick us up at 4.20. ![]() It actually didn’t take long to get to the airport and I probably was over cautious going for that time, we got there at 5.10 and unfortunately we couldn’t check our bag in until 6. We played on our phones and sat in a quiet corner. We did see a domestic from a couple of Chinese teens and kind of wanted to say something but we didn’t. Then a guy decided to kick a metal stand. That would have damaged someone if it had hit them, we didn’t wait to see what happened but I hope he was escorted away, he didn’t seem right. We got through the luggage drop off, through security and into where all the cafes are by 6.45. We went to a little shop and bought a wrap, a sandwich, a drink, crisps, sweets and chocolates to share. We ate all these and played on our phones. ![]() Went through the passport controls and waited at the gate. The plane was late so ended up boarding at 8.50 and taking off at 9.15. It seemed like a quick flight though in comparison to what we usually do to Florida. On the way there I was so tired I drifted in and out whereas we were all awake on the return journey. We landed at 9.25 U.K. time. We were at straight through the border controls that we had been so worried about within minutes with a nice looking navy guy as the others were on strike. Quick toilet break and bottle of pop for the car while Scott found the bag and then we were out. It was a good 10mins walk to find the car, glad Scott knew where we were going as I hadn’t got a clue. The gate then wouldn’t recognise my number plate to let me out and I had to call someone on the button to let me out. We were at the car park by 10pm so it ended up taking the usual time to get back from Manchester to home. We got home for 11.30pm teeth done and straight to bed. Didn’t even bother to unpack till the morning we were all so tired. Absolutely loved being in my own bed. I enjoyed Disneyland Paris. I’m glad we went as I’d like to go to all the Disney parks but for the amount of money it cost it wasn’t something I would like to repeat and also the language barrier made it difficult. It was too full on for us, didn’t have the snacks like we like to try and do, the weather was a let down, I would have preferred cold to rain and the food was ridiculously overpriced. It was lovely for Christmas but not somewhere we would like to go again. Stick to Florida instead! 23/12 McDonalds 5 burgers, 4 drinks €18.10 £15.99 2 cookies €6.60 Macaroons and two lolly’s €19.00 McDonalds 2 happy meals, nuggets, burger, 2 fries, two coke €27.80 £24.46 Airport-wrap,sandwich, drink, crisps, sweets and chocolate €23.50 Coke. £2.50 Total. €95.00 We used some cash that we had left over and the rest went on the card. We spent €535 in total, €177 in cash. We already had annual travel insurance and parking was free due to covid voucher. So total cost of holiday £2330.00 Hotel, flights and park tickets £116.00 Shuttle £80.00 Petrol £482 Spends £3008 |
