We had our 3 house unmasking tour on Wed. Loved it. The detailed info was amazing. Our guide Miah had worked as a scareactor for 7 years and was obviously passionate about everything HHN. It makes you look at the houses in a totally different way. We had done the 3 houses before the tour and completely missed most of the detail. We have the FF +Express so have another 9 nights to take it all in.
Went to Howloscream at SeaWorld last night and had a great time. The houses weren't quite as good as last year with Farm 51 being a complete waste of time. The scarezones though were brilliant. The interaction with the scareactors was amazing. Overall, the night was excellent value at less than £40 each.

I also bought express passes some nights and other nights used my AAP. I would not do HHN without express. Next year Im doing Rush of Fear with express. Ive already booked my Disney DVC 10 night stay 😂 and pencilled in my Cabana Bay 11 night stay

I started on Weds 18th Sep. What I can say is the queues and amount of people have increased significantly the closer it got to Oct. Tonight ( Fri 4th ) was really busy compared to mid Sep.

I stayed in Cabana Bay which was absolutely perfect. Lay in's, afternoons floating round the lazy river and evenings in HHN. I don't want to leave !

On the nights I did not have express I arrived to get in at 6pm. I bought an annual pass but ended up not starting it, because I couldn't face the Scream Early crowds. At 6pm - houses Slaughter Sinema, Museum, Sweets, Goblins and Monsters Bloodlines all had 5 minute waits. The 3 big ones Ghostbusters, Insidious and Quiet Place were the ones people ran for. I just used my AAP for one or two of those per night.

On the nights I had an express pass I arrived around 7pm. I still couldn't manage more than 6 houses then as I was exhausted as even with my ECV there is a lot of walking as those cannot go in the lines.

Monstrous got busy quickly as its at the front of the park. Triplets built up about 7.30pm.

Quiet Place, Insidious and Ghostbusters were always busy.

I did the 6 house and 3 house behind the scenes tours which were fantastic and really enhanced my enjoyment as understanding the story and technology of the houses is amazing.

If you want to get scared wear BRIGHT clothing. I only wore white, baby pink or my orange t shirt. I made sure I got in the queue behind people wearing black. I therefore stood out and was an easy target for scareactors 😂

The houses are different every time you go through them. Even though I thought where a scare was coming from, another got me! I was physically sick in the bathroom after one visit to Insidious !

I like the conga line. You have a fair chance of a scare. At Seaworld where they pulse groups to go through its an utter bore if you are 3rd or 4th behind the lead of your group. You will miss every scare.

My top house award goes to :-

INSIDIOUS 10/10 🏆 - absolute beast of a house. Some visits better than others but consistently good with a mental amount of scares 🤞🏼

TRIPLETS OF TERROR - 9/10 - Junior got me. Every.single.time ! So scary and a great storyline

SLAUGHTER SINEMA 2 - 9/10 - Loved the behind the scenes on this one. It amplified the scares and where to look when going through at night

GOBLINS - these scared me more and more every next time I went through the house 8/10

MONSTERS BLOODLINES - 7/10 - I got some good scares a few times, got missed another few times.

GHOSTBUSTERS 7/10 - Not so much for the scares but the design and build. The frozen dining room was truly beautiful.

QUIET PLACE - 6/10 good a couple of times and boring a couple of times. Too much reliance on mechanical scares

MONSTROUS - 6/10 - Scary and good story. Bit controversial with the baby eating and smell from the owl monster

MUSEUM - 5/10 Bit boring with a weak storyline

SWEETS - 2/10 Not many scares or actors and the emphasis on vomit was revolting

Scare zones were ok. Most people were using for selfie pics. Blumhouse brilliant but not scary.
The two things as you walk in - what was that about ? Waste of time

Seaworld had much better scare zones but very weak houses this year. Im off to Busch Howl O Scream tomorrow.

Enjoy if you are still to go ... Im counting the days down to next year ! 🎃💀👻🎃

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. There seems to be a lot of negative reviews of this year but I thought it was fun even though i only managed opening night. I'm also counting down to 2025.

I definitely think multiple night visits is the way to go if one can. I remember so much more about everything this year. The two RIP tours of 2023 and 2022 went past in a flash and I cannot remember much about any of the houses or scare zones

I did Howl O Scream at Busch tonight. This was EXCELLENT !

I had front of the line passes and literally you do not want more than a few seconds.

The 5 scare houses were brilliant. Really amazing detail and plenty of scares.
Busch scare zones are always good but this year they had about 8 and one called Raven Mill was magnificent. It was a large walk through u shape area designed like a Hillbilly Texas chain saw farm. It really really was frightening.

I loved every minute of Busch Howl. Lots and lots of teenagers though and young kids but generally a good fun atmosphere. I think it's always worth the drive over. Im staying over this time as usual, but next year I'll drive over and drive back as the area around here seems to have got a lot more sketchy this year.

I am thinking about 2025 too - I miss it already!
Currently considering flying to the west coast, doing some sightseeing and visiting the parks including HHN Hollywood, before flying back via Orlando to 'break the flight up' and do HHN Orlando... now to persuade the DH!

So we go next Saturday and have our first hhn’s on the Sunday .. I know, I know..
We are going with ds (24) and dd who is 13.
She loves horror films but is quite jumpy so I’m just wondering how to play it ?
Should we go for insidious first and tell her that the others won’t be as scary (from what I’ve heard anyway) or build up to that one?
She’s excited but nervous!

We went in on Friday night. This was our travel day so didn’t plan to be over ambitious and we had zero plan.

We went in at 8pm and stayed till 10.45pm.

2 houses
Bloodlines waited 40 minutes - same as the time advertised

Monstrous - waited 25 minutes - wait time showed as 45.

Spent a bit of time wandering the scare zones. Could probably have done more but we’d been up for 21 hours at that point.

Back in again tonight - plans NY stay and scream
