An other great day
So much more to see and do than the parks
I can’t believe that boat is still there after the hammering it took over the summer with our grandkids and a friends before that
I really do miss bread

Not much to report today, pool, then Florida mall. Things have gotten EXPENSIVE! Where you used to get buy one get one free (or half price) on t-shirts at the likes of Spencers, it's now buy FOUR get one free! And Claire's is buy three get three free!

A stromboli at Sbarro in the food court was £8.50! And we spent $45 on two burgers, some nuggets, one fries and two drinks at shake shack. That's almost what we paid at teak for two huge burgers with fries, kids pasta, a cocktail and soft drinks at teak yesterday! They weren't nearly as good either. The chocolate shake made up for it though...

Went home via a liquor store for tequila, mezcal, vodka and some beers/alcopops/miniatures then an hour in the pool before bed (for B)...

Day 8... MNSSHP!

Went to Walmart for storm supplies in the morning, then an hour in the pool. Gave B an extra hour for his afternoon nap before heading to MK at 4

Now sat by the pool. Can't sleep. Had pepsi on the way home and the caffeine had me lying in bed staring at the ceiling. Jarred my back on tianas log flume. Just had some cocodamol so hopefully I'll fall asleep soon!

Lazy day tomorrow, hoping the storm isn't too bad. B stayed up till midnight! So hopefully he won't be up till 9am or so

Still not asleep. Very rarely have caffeine. Especially at 1am! I was SO THIRSTY I just chugged it (stopped at Wawa on the way home from MNSSHP to fill up with petrol and grabbed a drink didn't think it'd have this much of an effect on me!)

Lesson learned

managed to grab an hour while B went down at lunch, its now nearly 8pm, and ill be in bed by 9ish. i feel ok, but my legs are like jelly

storn tomorrow, so either staying in and bunking down, or if its not too bad, we may do the mall for a bit.

today i prepped a load of food for the next few days. beef strips soaked in cornstarch (velveting, a chinese takeaway staple) bagged up and in the freezer ready to fry (and go with japanese curry), thin strips of beef marinaded in tajin/taco seasonings and a shot of tequila ready for tacos, some corn fried off ready for adding mexican crema/cheese (to go with the tacos), two packs of reduced price shrooms cooked off ready for use

oh, and remember that dough ball i cooked off? made a MASSIVE sandwich! lunch yesterday, and a few for the park before the funnel cake...

tonight we had sausage and mash...

5 huge italian sosig, in the oven with some red onion, some frozen veg, mushroom gravy, with some added beef bouillon and shrooms, and a packet of mash, with some added butter and shredded cheese. absolutely BANGING!

now, a tv show, then an early night!

DIBB Villa Reviews: 3
Enjoying reading your report - we stayed in the same villa 2 years ago when Hurricane Ian hit but while we lost power for a while and there was very heavy rain and strong winds we were safe in the villa.

I'm not sure how long you have before you go home but we were at Circle B Bar Reserve near Lakeland yesterday ánd stopped briefly at Bonnet Springs Park. It looks an ideal park for young kids with lots of play areas and a Children's Museum and it is free to enter and park. We stopped to see the garden area which was unfortunately closed for a special event so ended up at the Lakeland Shopping Mall instead which was very quiet but pleasant.

Circle B is lovely but anyone going check it’s open first as it’s prone to flooding and some trails etc may be shut

Storm prep all done, baths filled for toilet water, devices charged, hurricane bacon prepped (so the search dogs can find us if it kicks off!) and all full of lobster and steak and wine!

We are in central Orlando, so should only get the bad weather rather than the actual hurricane carnage...

See y'all in the morning!
