Got him to slowly do laps of the pool and his kickkickkicking is fantastic! If he can doggy paddle with his hands in the next few days? Wow! He's coming along brilliantly!

On a related swimming note... How old were yours by the time they were comfortable in the pool without you holding them? I can see him fully swimming without armbands by next birthday...

Will definitely be doing swimming sessions with him as a soon as we get back!

Then after the pool, dessert!

Frozen toaster waffle (for B), pecan pie for me (the Walmart fresh boxed ones) and pumpkin pie for o. With the leftover public BOGOF ice creams we got on day 1!

TV and bed...

Tomorrow, Busch for the final time. Gonna go anticlockwise again, so sesame st is at the end so B can wear himself out

Sat/sun, chilling, packing and maybe a trip for last minute bits to fill the cases! (Supertarget for t-shirts and Oxo good grips kit, and a local supermarket for spice/rice mixes

Monday, very lazy day. Pool and final packing. Leave for MCO around 4pm, fly at 11pmish

On a related note, anyone got tips for cheap April flights? Due to Easter hols/etc the flight price is double what sept/Oct was for this year! If you were doing 3 weeks in April, how would you minimise school holiday taxes?

We are Looking at virgin man>MCO or similar. 3 weeks at some point that month! (Or a few days either side... Can always do a beach rental for a few days to manoeuvre around sorrento villa availability!)

... Anywhere between Brum and Manchester, happy to do Tampa/Melbourne/Miami/etc, but IIRC TUI don't fly in april)?
We came out in mid April and back again in May with Tui from Birmingham if you can hold your nerve the prices drop dramatically ( they are stupid at the moment) we do avoid school holidays though .
Melbourne area and beaches are lovely and often overlooked by those going straight to Orlando .
We love it over there and will be back there next week , we are currently in Texas and it’s flipping roasting

Had a couple of £180 TUI specials from EMA back in the day, so used to holding my nerve

Very little to report. Crap weather, did packing and final shopping

Went to bon Evans for breakfast but b was having a meltdown, so took it in turns to eat our breakfast/sit with him outside while his meltdown was still in full swing. Not great, and it's the second restaurant in a row he's done this. Need to stomp down on the tantrums when we get home. The sooner he realises it's futile, the better!

90% of the time, I couldntve asked for a better kid, but 5% of the time, I'm considering getting one of them late term abortions that trump seems so protective of. Is that wrong?

Anyway, went to target, got a few bits. There was 3 checkouts open and the self service tills. All 4 queues were at least 10 people deep.

So I left the trolley and it's contents and walked out. Nearly did this last year at Walmart, but needed some of the stuff I'd bought...

Glass of wine, and eating the contents of the fridge/freezer. Brown dinner tonight, and I have some shrimp I've dredging in cornflour to fry, will have them for lunch, as it's a bit late to eat them now...

Slowly finishing packing tomorrow, then pool, nap, lunch and head off to MCO around 3:30-4pm

Don't wanna go home, but also really miss my Simba mattress and giant bathtub!

Have a safe trip home , so glad you have had a great time
Your bath at home must be huge as the one in the master is way bigger than the one we have here been in that bath once and needed a hand to get out it’s that deep but then again I’m vertically challenged

To say how much room that corner bath takes up, it's comically small! If I wanted to wash my hair, my legs had to be dangling out the end!

We got an extra deep, 190cm long bath, and now it has ruined me for every other bath

Home now. Flight was rammed with people being rescheduled from weds, but we still managed a row of three between us, so B slept for nearly the entire flight!

(Us, not so much, but I still managed to drive back from Stockport thanks to a big old redbull!)

Cases are in the garage, o has nipped out for nappies and bread, and I'm sat eating dill pickle crisps with B

Chippy tea shortly, then bath and bed (I start back at work at 7am!)

Not going anywhere near the scales until diet day, suspect I've put on nearly a stone in 3 weeks!

Will update more once I dig the laptop out and get a chance, but yeah, home, knackered!
