Mobile DDP or not?

We have booked the ddp for a reduced cost as we had the 'free breakfast credit' - 2 adults and 2 children, this cost us £1100.

I thought it would be ideal as we have 2 girls aged 6&9 who will be into the character meals etc.

I will also have £1300 spends - girls will have their own.

Do you think we are doing the right thing? Or should I cancel the ddp and have £2400 spends but need to pay for all meals?

So undecided 🙈🙈

With the exchange rate the way it is you'll feel much better having those meals already paid for. We had DDP for most of our stay last year and didn't have it for 3 nights. I found food really expensive at Disney for those 3 nights. I would stick with it.

Yes very true, I saw that a bottle of water is $3 now in the parks! So I think food will have gone up a lot since we were last there.

How much money did you spend on day to day things? Would £1300 be enough?

£1300 will be more than enough I would think. We usually take $1000 on ddp.

It totally depends on you as a family. You need to allow some money for tips and petrol if you have a car but really everything else will be whatever you want to buy. You food will totally be covered by DDP.

When we had the DDP the ONLY money we spent on food was for tips and the occasional beer for DH. The total "extra" cost for 2 weeks on the DDP was ~$300, but we had the $200 Disney gift card for early booking - so ended up only $100 or so OOP.

As for non-food expenses - for us it was just gasoline and the $250 (or so) that I spent at the Disney Outlet. If you buy lots of souvenirs in the parks - you will obviously spend more. Our total non-food costs while at WDW were around $300.

Hope this helps!
