In my opinion no. The food at Hollywood and Vine is overpriced and overrated, plus it's one of the noisiest and most chaotic Disney restaurant I've ever been in.

Hollywood and Vine isn't the only restaurant offering the package.
We usually go to the Brown Derby if we want to do the Fantasmic Dining package

I would say that it depends on whether you have DDP or not. We are going the dining package but at Mama Melrose. You get three courses instead of 2 and only 1 TS credit. We would have eaten at MM anyway on DDP so thought we might aswell do the fantasmic package.
Would I pay for it OOP if I didnt have DDP? Probably not! |

I'd go for lunch if you are doing the package. There's no way in the world that I eat dinner at 4:45p.m. Your seating is dead bang centre. Note if the performance is cancelled for any reason your voucher becomes void.

We did it on a previous visit and will be doing it again this year.
We're doing mama melrose this time round; H&V lived up to its poor reputation. From reading reviews, I don't think Brown Derby should be considered signature anymore so I wouldn't waste two credits on that. This only really leave MM for me.

We don't mind eating dinner early and will treat it as a cross between lunch and dinner. We'd rather that than hand about the park that long. I do think it's only worth it if you have DDP though as it's very expensive wherever you go.

We've chosen Brown Derby because of some excellent reviews over the past few months.

I booked it the other day for our May trip, it was available at all three restaurants. First I booked Brown Derby but then I realised it was two credits and didn't look worth it, so I switched to Hollywood and Vine, then I decided didn't like the look o gothat so I landed on Mama Melrose for lunch in the end. I initially had a fast pass for the show but then I read that some consider it a wasted fast pass.
