Miami, suggestions for a day

So we land into Miami next week, staying overnight in the Pullman airport hotel before picking up the hire car the next day. We are actually staying on the edge of the everglades for the following two nights so we are looking at ideas for what to do after we collect the hire car and move to the next hotel. My first thought is just to head to south beach area? Anyone have any must haves to see/eat?
Any recommendations on parking considering we will have the luggage in the car

It really depends on what you are looking for to be honest.

There are some amazing restaurants around South Beach area. The two i recommend are...

YardBird < My Suggestion, if you love meat try the Swine Burger... out of this world.

I have eaten at both and the food is delicious.

No idea in terms of parking I'm afraid as we always taxi when in Miami and pick the hire car up when we move over to Naples on the Gulf.
