DCL Cancellation Fee
Unfortunately it's looking like we may have to cancel our September cruise due to my husband being unwell.
We're still 129 days out and my booking confirmation states the following: Cruises 5 to 9 Nights where Embark or Debark is U.S. Port Days Prior to Vacation Commencement Date Fee Amount 89 to 56 days Deposit per Guest for Non-Suites/Concierge Staterooms 55 to 30 days 50% of vacation price per Guest 29 to 15 days 75% of vacation price per Guest 14 days or less No refund Can anyone confirm if this means that we will get our deposit back if we cancel before the 89 days? Thank you

So sorry to hear about your husband.
Yes, you are able to cancel and receive your deposit back (although I think this is different if you have a concierge room). Hope that you are both able to rebook some time in the future. x |

If you booked direct or through a reputable US agent, you're good. If you booked through a UK TA, you may have issues.
Concierge is different as the PP says, in that you can't cancel, only move the booking. Sorry to hear about your husband. I would personally move the booking instead of cancelling if you don't need the deposit back just yet. Joa

Thanks for your replies. We booked direct so we have just cancelled the reservation and got a full refund. It would have been nice to move it to another date however we already have another 2 cruises booked and we weren't quite sure when we'd be able to fit another one in plus it's one less thing to worry about at the moment! If my husband recovers before September we can always make a new booking
