Fire Station

Hey,

I don't know if this has been asked before (i'm new) but my husband is a fireman and when were in Florida in May 2015 we drove past a couple of Fire stations around the Disney property.

I was wondering if anybody knew whether we can book a tour or go and visit the stations. it would absolutely make his holiday.

Thanks

I've no personal experience but here's their website contact page. You could send them an email and ask.

Thanks very much Mick.

I wouldn't have even known the name of the station to start looking

I met a British 'fire engine enthusiast' on one of my visits who spent much of his holiday at a local Orlando Fire Station! He had befriended them to a point where they allowed him to ride out with them and provided him with a T shirt and shorts. He wasn't a serving fire officer in the UK and apparently visited the Orlando Fire Dept most years.

I too have an interest in fire service matters, having served many years ago and have found that with a bit of courtesy, fire station staff will normally show you around if circumstances permit.

Good luck with your quest. I'm sure you'll be well received - after all, fire fighters throughout the world consider themselves as one large brother/sisterhood.
