Wow you have a great deal there with the flights!

Eyewatering prices still for our dates/duration. Going to try separate bookings for the car hire to see if that can work any magic

Its madness - I booked for 7 weeks (Jan/Feb 2019) for a standard suv last month and it has cost £1378 - the same booking right now on Alamo is £2649 - god knows where they get these prices from !

I booked with Alamo brits in February this year for ten nights in November SUV for £255.00 now looking to book for next May and it is triple the price, silly money I think I will keep looking

I was going to book an SUV for our 2 week trip in May this year. Alamo Brits wanted about £600 in January so I booked Alamo through Holiday Autos for about £450. I checked again in March and Alamo Brits was down to about £360 so cancelled and booked that.

We had to cancel our holiday and rescheduled for late September, booked through Alamo Brits for about £360 again in mid June.

Mr Tom I've seen these comments a few times. I appreciate prices will always fluctuate but as a rule of thumb is it better to book early (ie at 11 months)

Hi. I find its better to book early and then watch the prices like a hawk.

Im getting some stupid prices from Brits though for next May. I want to hire the car not buy it!
Anyhow, I'm so fed up with hunting now I'm hoping to book with Virgin later on today as their prices have dropped £1.20p since yesterday - every little helps!
