Charter Travel for Villa only?
Has anyone used Charter Travel to book the villa only? I believe it's the owner of Charter Travel's own personal villas that she has and I'm considering booking one of them.
Just wondered if anyone had any experience with them and would you recommend etc before I send payment? Thanks x |

I haven't used them for a villa but I have used them 3 times now for Florida and they are a good company, I would also ask them to quote you for some flights for comparison as they always seem to find a great deal

You certainly could use them for that but you are much more likely to find similar or better villas on the open market for less.
However I agree with the other poster they are a decent company and if you prefer to deal with a known entity rather than just a person on the web (which is understandable) then the extra cost may well be worth the reduction in worry. If you are the sort that would book airbnb on a city break though then I'd just use them or vrbo or homeaway to book direct with an owner in Florida |

I would bet my mortgage on the fact that Charter Travel do not "own" any villas.
The best way to confirm one way or the other is to ask Charter for pictures of the precise villa that they are offering you Regards Gary

I'm not sure I'd ever book something from a company that was owned privately by the same company's owner.
The travel agent is supposed to act as an unbiased middle man between the consumer and provider and I don't see how they can do that if their boss owns the villa I'm sure you'll be OK, but that is just my view on it |

You can find out for definite who owns the villa by following the links provided in the sticky at the top of the accommodation forum titled 'Before Booking a Villa Please Read'.
