Resort Hopping
Hi
We are only doing a couple of days Disney this time but I really fancy having a few hours seeing some hotels, I was thinking of us parking at Disney springs and getting the buses. So anyone have a plan we could do, what shouldn’t I miss and what order shall I go? Thanks ☺️☺️ |

The monorail resort's (grand floridan, Polynesian and Contempary) are easy to get around being on the loop. You have a couple of resort's accessible by boat from DS - Port Orlean Riverside and French Quarter, Saratoga Springs and Old Keys West and then you have Beach and Yacht Clubs and Boardwalk all in easy reach of each other by Epcot. So plenty choice

Get the bus to Wilderness Lodge, then boat to Contemporary, monorail to Polynesian, walk or monorail to Grand Floridian. All lovely and very different resorts with good shopping and eateries. Poly and GF have beaches too, with hammocks! You could time it to watch the MK fireworks at one of these resorts too.

We've never stayed on site but do a tour of WDW resorts every holiday.
As you say we always park up at DS (we leave the parking spaces at the resorts for those people who have paid a few thousand $$) and pick a bus (or a boat). Here's an example. Bus to Wilderness Lodge. Then boat to Contemporary. Then the other two monorail resorts and bus back from GF to DS. This is great at Christmas. Or bus to Boardwalk (or Y&BC) then catch a boat to S&D and HS. Or walk into DS and a boat ride to PO or OKW. Loads of options. You don't need to be staying at a WDW resort, nor have park tickets, nor have a dining reservation to use the free WDW transport. Mick

We love doing this, the last time we did the following.
Park up at Disney Springs, walk over to Saratoga Springs to have a look around. Walk or catch the boat back to DS. Catch a boat to Port Orleans Riverside and have a look around. Catch a bus from there to Magic Kingdom, from here you can get the monorail to the Polynesian the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary resorts. You can catch a boat from MK over to Wilderness Lodge. From here you can catch a bus back to DS . At all the resorts you can use the restaurants and food outlets and you are free to explore all over.
