Just got 1.32 transferring money onto Revolut card.. maybe not if you are going in 3 days but always seems the best rate for me.

That's what we did! When the rate was really high (1.42+), just kept putting what we could afford onto the Revolut card and it mounted up.
Did also exchange some cash though at 1.33, via Sterling FX, who by the way were super. Great exchange rate and cash delivered to my door. |

$1.2811 currently with Travelex. At least you don't have to leave the house as you'll walk past the desk. Need to buy online though and collect cash at desk

At the moment John Lewis are $1.2975. Wish I had bought more on Monday when they were giving $1.32.
