There isn't a large Indian community here, the food is nothing like it is in England. Wait for your curry til you get home.

They have a vegetable and fruit curry here in a creamy sauce. It is a brilliant place. We went three times whilst in Orlando in February. Edited at 07:12 PM. |

If your are staying near Haines City then Mannys Chophouse on US 27 is a must. You will not get a curry but you will get a great steak.

There is apparently a very passable Indian restaurant up Sand Lake Road in the vicinity of the Florida Mall. I can't remember the name of it, but the Brit Guide authors Simon & Susan Veness have reviewed it and given it a thumbs up. Perhaps if you google Indian resturants near Florida Mall or something similar it'll flag up.
But I agree that the only kind of 'hot' food you seem to be able to get in Florida is the hot chilli type, eg chipotle, jalapenos etc. I don't like chillis and won't eat Mexican or equivalent.

I remember when I lived in South Yorkshire you couldn't get a decent Indian meal anywhere. Maybe it hasn't changed and your DD is right to dislike what she has been offered.

I'll be honest I was imagining younger, saw your countdown and thought you had plenty of time for changing habits lol!
As others have said though, I don't think they do curry very well in Orlando. Maybe have one the night before you leave instead?
