Day 9 - Boma, Yachtsman Steakhouse

I’ll be honest, today’s breakfast at Boma was an afterthought and was a late entry on the plan.

The fuss pots of the party didn’t initially fancy it however I am well aware of the great reviews this restaurant always gets and it made sense to eat at least once in our own resort and breakfast seemed the sensible option.

We really liked the restaurant atmosphere and after scoffing a couple of the great jungle juices we were off to the buffet which was fantastic with a decent variety of hot, cold and Asian themed foods.

DW in particular loved it (to my slight surprise) and both she and DS made multiple trips back to attack more pastries and other goodies...

The buffet line can get pretty long but it is worth waiting for. Definitely on next years list…..

After a trip to Target, where we bought some goodies (Graham Cracker mix, butterscotch and coconut for making our own 7 layer bars at home and some Smuckers and Reece’s sauces)

it was onto Disney Springs where increbibly we were slightly peckish again!

A plain pretzel from Wetzels and coffees and a couple of cakes from Starbucks were polished off….

Rested and refreshed, we bussed to Epcot where we spent the afternoon and had some beers and cider on our way towards the World Showcase where we meandered round to our 6.45 ADR at the Yachtsman.

We have always enjoyed this and the food this year was no exception. Our server was really pleasant and made life easy. Service was a little slow but to be honest it didn’t really effect us and we just enjoyed the evening and took our time.

The onion bread as always was amazing and we asked for some more.

There is never any issue here mixing and matching the steaks with fries or other sides or sauces although I stuck with my favourite 8 oz fillet and mash and Cabernet sauce.

DW had the NY strip

The others went down the same route as me with the fillet mignon but with peppercorn sauce and salt and vinegar fries.

and DS the chicken breast.

Steaks were lovely and pretty much faultless.

We all had desserts. FIL and I had the carrot cake, which was pretty decent.

DS some ice cream

DW the sundae which much to her disgust came with cherries which put her off instantly

and MIL the lime semi Freddo
.

Great meal.

Is it wrong I didn't actually read any words initially and just devoured the pictures?!

I then returned to the start & have enjoyed the narrative also.
