We went on the wait list with P&O ..And now have tickets...was a little bit dearer than doing it yourself...but did not want to miss it.
Will do everything else separate. |

I was going to book with P&O but it’s twice the price. £125 if I book train tickets direct and £252 with P&O. Partially because my DD is 14 and P&O charge her as an adult but the train do kids prices upto age 15.
P&O have departures until 1:30pm so if I book on a 9:45 train I can’t see how we could get left behind. Yet somehow I’m a bit nervous. |

You will be fine judging by all the replies of those that have done it diy... just wanted it out of the way easy.😂
Have only ever done one ships tour and that was a helicopter ride in the Caribbean...always do diy. |

Bev don’t worry about it do it yourself as people say you will be able to get down in other ways should the train break down.
We booked the tour with the cruise only because there were lots of big ships in and no direct availability. It isn’t worth what the cruise lines charge but once you see flam you will understand why they get away with it. |

I would always recommend booking this trip via your cruise ship. The first time DD and I went on this cruise we decided to book this trip via DIY, it was a complete disaster, the train was full and we didn’ go anywhere. The second cruise to the Ffords we booked the all day trip in Flam which included the railway, it was fabulous.

If I’ve already booked my train tickets then the train bring full shouldn’t be an issue?

We done this through P O done the one with coach back so went on Flam railway then a normal train ride to a town had dinner buffet in a hotel which was lovely then a bit of free time to wonder around hotel was next to a lovely lake. We then got a c coach back stopping a c hoe of times at some stunning waterfalls had time to walk over and take photos lovely scenery driving back I think this was well worth the money
I think it was called Norway in a Nutshell. Would pay for this again
