Old town car show
I had read on here a few months ago about visiting Old Town to see the car show of cars driving down main street there. We're hiring our car on the Friday with a 4pm pick up (we're only getting it for 2 days to go to KSC on the Saturday) and my boyfriend has asked if we can go to this. We're going to go to Red Lobster for dinner after picking up the car and then head down to Old Town. Can anyone recommend anything else to do/see down that direction, or do people just like to have a nosey round? I think I read on the old town website that the cars start arriving at about 4 and then drive down the street at about 8:30.
Edit: forgot to ask if there are any suggestions on where to park the car when we go there? Edited at 02:52 PM. |

We normally head to red lobster for around 5/30 eat and leave the car there you will be asked in the car park,if you are eating and may be asked on return to car to show the receipt
We wander over and walk round the cars the tacky shops and find a spot to view the parade |

Ahh, something I hadn't even considered. You don't think there'll be a problem with that then since there'll probably be a gap of a few hours from when we arrived/ate and then returning to the car? I'm a big chicken and don't like to get shouted at for doing something wrong if I'm not supposed to but that sounds like a great idea and the least amount of hassle! Will remember to hold on to the receipt from our meal.

No we've never had a problem we don't rush eating so,wander over around 6/30-7 and usually back at the car by 8/45 you can pay for parking in the lot or park,on the street if you find a space parking was $10 in March I noticed

We went in Saturday and parked in the Pirates golf, across the road from the main Old Town. We paid ten dollars, got a ticket to display from the ticket office. But if you play the golf, you can park for free. No idea how much the golf would be, sorry. Red Lobster is next to the golf. It’s a nice atmosphere, I’m not fussed about the cars, but enjoy the whole vibe!

Add to say, the place had been refurbed since our last visit, much nicer. Live music as well to enjoy.

when we went it was very busy as there is now a funfair there, they open a grassed area for parking round the back i think it was roughly $5 to park there as long as you like,
