Mobile Just back from Las Vegas & beyond with pics!’

Well what can I say?! We’ve had the best holiday ever! Everything from start to finish was amazing!
We loved Vegas & spent 3.5 days there out of 6.5 days. It was enough to see all what I had wanted to see. We did, neon museum at night, (A highlight) Beatles love, (another highlight) high roller, Fremont street, (love all the old school neon lights there) fountains, seven magic mountains, peppermill, Las Vegas sign & a good few of the hotels. Really loved staying in the NYNY it was very us, all the others are way to fancy for us so would stay here again!
We did a tour to Hollywood on our first morning as we would be up early with the time difference left at 4.30 am & back st 6.30pm. It was a brilliant day out & we even witnessed n’sync get their Hollywood star! It was just crazy there with fans! Caught a glimpse of Justin timberlake which was fab!
We also went to Mulholland drive to see views of LA & the sign, Warner bros for lunch, then went to Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, sunset strip, & finished with Santa Monica. Amazing day.
We flew to Disney & back a few days later into the week & it was just brilliant! Flew to John Wayne at 6.30 am with southwest & caught the 10.30pm flight back! Missed the fireworks but no big deal as cars land made up for it. Wow amazing it’s my favourite theming in Disney now & we rode radiator Springs Racers twice single rider!
Pixar fest was on & it was so good!
We finished with the Grand Canyon on our last full day. This was the main highlight of the trip as we were just blown away! We had 4 hours there & we left after the sunset totally worth the long trip! We stopped at hoover dam, seligman enroute got 40 mins each loved those stops too specially seligman, such a cool wee place! We slept on the way back so the journey wasn’t too bad on the way back.
A full on week the way we like it! We don’t do rests or relaxing on any hols we go on lol!
Already planning to go back next year with our son who will be 21 next April & I know he would just love this trip.
Red rock & Death Valley will be on the List next yr & probably another trip to the GC!

Forgot to mention In-N-Out Burger is my new favourite burger! I’m glad they’re only on the west coast as I think I would live on them! Double double animal style😜
Also a mention for Southwest Airlines, a brilliant airline puts Ryan air & easyJet to shame! Free drinks & nibbles on a 38 min flight!

Glad you had such a good time. I can't believe how much you packed in, particularly Disneyland. I tried to tell DH it was close enough for a day trip but he wouldn't have it! Maybe next time, a!omg with a trip to the South Rim (love the Route 66 photo)

We weren’t for doing Disney untill March time! I just happen to look flights up in southwest & they were so cheap so went for it! Our Disney day was a value day so we went for the hopper ticket which worked out cheaper if we’d been going on a peek day!
We didn’t go for the rides so managed to do everything but we did do haunted mansion as it’s so different to all the others, toy story mania & RS racers twice! I met quite a few characters too & Pixar parade was amazing! So it was totally worth it & doable!

Wow sounds like a great trip. We are off to Vegas in September and was thinking of doing Disney for a day. Would you be able to give me more info to see if I can pull this off lol What was your transfer time to and from the airport in LA. Did you book the transfers DIY or is there a shuttle. Any info would be greatly apprciated

We flew to John Wayne (Santa Ana) from Vegas as its 12 miles to Disney from there. The flight takes 38 mins! We got a 6.40am flight & got the last flight back at 10.20. We used Lyft & it cost about $14 each way, it is so close to the airport! We used Lyft all holiday to get around & they were FAB! Highly recommend them
