I’m really annoyed at this email from Disney. Are they not aware of the costs and efforts that goes into planning one of these holidays for UK residents. I have literally spent the last year and some more trying to organise this trip and now they send out an email out of the blues about pool closure. Not a happy bunny here!

I was so disappointed when I got this email today - I love the pool there. It feels a bit pointless emailing Disney because deluxe availability anywhere for my dates is practically club level or nothing and that's not an option financially! So so glad to have downgraded from a pool view to standard view room before this was announced though - I'd be gutted if I had paid the extra to look out onto building works.

Edited at 06:24 PM.

Which email address? I sent one to the help disney UK and got an automated reply implying it wasn't the correct email?

Also received this email today - we stay from the 21st October, luckily only for 5 nights.

managed to speak to someone at Disney who advised Grand Floridian was available for our dates for an extra £1,200 or Port Orleans Riverside although we would still be charged the £50 amendment fee

unsure of what to do now...one of my main concerns is now that the kidani pool is going to be twice as busy although the lady I spoke to said DVC members tend not to use the pool so that wouldn't be the case

We'd been looking forward to AKL but the pool is a deal breaker so pleased with the switch.

EDIT: Just logged into MDE and the resort change is already there
This made me smile, as so many of us were moved from SSR for our October bookings!

Finally through, operator has disappeared as I've asked for my options that aren't going to cost us anymore money. Have mentioned our 30th anniversary so here's hoping we get sorted. Bloody annoying!
