Anna Maria Island recommendations please!

We really want to visit Anna Maria island next year for a few days at the end of our trip. Really stuck on whether to do 1 night in the middle of our trip or 3 nights at the end. Anyone have any tips? Thanks

On our last Orlando trip we did one night in the middle - ie two full days on AMI and it was great, so much so this year we are going for a week! Three nights would be nice if it fits in with flight times home but even one night will give you two full days if you arrive there early and leave the following evening.

Would highly recommend AMI. We went for 3 nights last year and fell in love with it. Going for a whole week this year, I can't wait
Edit to add we stayed in Tortuga Inn which I would highly recommend.
If you are only going for 1 night I would leave Orlando as soon as you can in the morning to maximise your day there then leave the next evening after rush hour

We are going for 3 nights in August. So far I have it down to Sunrise Garden Resort, bridgewalk Resort or Tradewinds (not the massive one at St Pete) can’t decide though as they all look so nice!

We stayed at the sunrise garden resort a few years ago, which i would recommend. The location is perfect and you can walk to the pier on one side and the perfect beach on the other. We stayed for 2 nights in the middle of our holiday and left the kids with the in-laws back at the villa. It was a perfect break from all the hustle and bustle of the parks but i would recommend doing more than one night as it does take a little while to decompress and relax.

We went for a week. I did a trip report but I don't know how to link it. I included lots of info about the island and the places that we visited. It was titled: highs and lows of a diabetic abroad.

We went for four days last year and fell in love with the Island. We are heading back for a week this year.
I would highly recommend the coastal island tour with Happy Paddler!

This was a highlight of our trip. The island is beautiful.

Just got home on Friday from 2 amazing weeks on AMI I would try to do as long as you can there it's a very special place that you just fall in love with. The north end of the island is a lot quieter than the South end .Utilize the free island trolley if you can it runs every 20 minutes and you can hop off it at any stop.Public beaches are a lot busier than areas with no public parking but they have good facilities if you need them.No chain restaurants on the island just a dominoes takeaway but if you want them they are not too far away on the mainland. You will love it 😎😍😎😍😎

We stayed 2 nights there too a couple of years ago. As you have said, perfectly situated for the beach or the pier! Loved Two Scoops and the Sandbar. Beautiful island and would definitely go again! 😎😎
