Alamo prices astronomical!
What is it with Alamos prices at the moment? 15 days in November is £796 for an intermediate SUV! More than double the price of Hertz (£340 through Costco) for the same class of car, is this a temporary high price or likely to hold. Would prefer Alamo but will go with Hertz if nothing changes, Alamo Brits isn't much cheaper, I just can't get over how high the prices are, surely totally uncompetitive...

I'm looking for November as well. Andy at DFCH is currently miles better than Alamo Brits for our dates and duration.
We hired Alamo through him for our last trip. He's a regular Dibber and very helpful. Mick

Most Alamo partners (including Brits) are £300-£400 (and up!) more than I’ve paid through Virgin for our dates in July/August.

I’d second booking with virgin if you want Alamo. Cheapest we could find.

We had the same problem last year with Alamo for a November booking but booked with Andy at DFCH and the price was so much cheaper and the service was excellent and still able to check in on line and avoid the queue at the desks.

It also depends on when you book. I have a 3 week hire from very late Oct into Nov. Standard SUV £525.58 with Brits.

Their prices go way up...then way down...
I looked for 3 weeks June / July as normal and at one point they were £1100+ for an SUV I kept watching and checking and got 3 weeks for £508 eventually Only reason I didn't go with Andy was through Brits I could get one extra driver |

I've been watching Alamo Brits for a few months now. We've booked with Andy (DFCH) and taken advantage of the free amendments whenever the price dropped below what we'd got booked. We've got a mustang conv. booked for three weeks in Sept for £715 - currently showing as £832 on Alamo Brits. I've seen it over £1000 since we locked in the £715 price.
