Just made sure me calls and told Disney themselves (ie UK) are no longer quoting or booking for stays more than 499 days out, at 499 days I can ring back and get a quote. This apparently is in line with Disney US. However, travel companies such as VH have a different already agreed wholesale allocation and as such (apart from 1-2 weeks in October) are quoting and accepting bookings up until end December 2019.

I think they’re fobbing us off. When I enter October 1st (which is within the 499 days) I still get the error message.

So do I, something is going on. Other agents are quoting & selling past 499 days, makes me wonder if it is to do with Star Wars and the prices will increase when released.

If I were really cynical, the current free dining offer booking window ends July 2018, if SW is opening in Autumn 2019 potentially Disney are pulling free dining for new bookings October/November/December 2019. Disney have given me a date when I’m able to make my November/December booking, no surprise it’s after the booking window closes. If I arrive on 30 November I still get free dining, night book with VH as just checked and they’re still offering my hotel choice and free dining.

I agree , anything past sept 27th and you get the message which is 481 days.
TA’s have contracts already agreed which Disney will have to fulfill but if you want to change a date or add then I bet you can’t with them.

Mmm, interesting, if this is the case VH will make a killing, tui don’t have much availability and ATD have told me they’ve had to pull theirs and they’re taking details and getting back to people

I understand ATD deal directly with Disney wholesale on a live basis, who are requesting this, some of the other agents have their allocation agreed en mass in advance hence why they’re still able to sell.

Makes sense, also thinking about it tui don’t travel there after end of October and start up again in April, not sure about Thomas Cook?

I’m seriously considering VH as they can still offer free dining, every deluxe and moderate is available for my dates. It doesn’t make sense for me to wait for Disney UK when the current offer ends, I can use my flying club discount with VH too.

I hope that’s not the case as this is why staying on property would work for my family . Hopefully all will become clear in a few days, there’s so much speculation at the moment.

When are you looking to go?

The free dining offer is available to book up to the 6th November, it is just the $200 gift card offer that stops on the 3rd July, it is usually replaced with a $100 gift card instead but who knows this year.
