Can someone tell me do you need money for the gifts shops on the beach or do you use your room key... also what do you do with your room key etc while in the sea... thanks never been on disney cruise before

Room key, and DH had it zipped in his pocket. I would have used one of those dangly plastic pouches otherwise!


I have a feeling (but not sure as didn't use it) that the P.O. Takes cash only - I'm sure someone will chip in on that point

Castaway Cay (not Key, but pronounced the same) is predominantly a cash free island.

You will, however, need small change for the post office (if it's even open - run by Bahamians who are VERY relaxed) and also if you want to buy anything from the market stalls run by Bahamians.

The DCL shops do not take cash/card - only your room key can be used.
