My daughter is 15 too. She has got quite a few pairs of little thin material shorts which are really cool & comfortable, yes they are short but not butt check short. She has little tops to match that go to her belly button, sit just above the shorts waist line. She has got a few pairs of dressy play suits (just from H&M) but they look really pretty on.
I will try to up load a picture for you👍🏻 |

stand back and take a look objectively - are the dresses actually showing any more than her shorts and a vest top (what my DD lives in in the summer)?
We have one rule - ahemmmmmm - short skirts = big knickers. (very easy to talk about at the moment with the "upskirting" stuff in the news.) |

I would be mortified if my parents insisted on choosing or approving my clothes when I was 15. Let her wear what she wants! She won’t want to dress like that forever!

Pick your battles especially on holidays! My dd14 has picked her holiday clothes from asos, Zara, h and m. Yes some are short but as long as she is happy and they are not too short I have kept my mouth shut. I think it’s gives them confidence and independence to pick what they are happy in, and not feel self conscious. These teenage years are tough! Good luck x

Does she like the shorts with the sheer skirt over the top, I think they look pretty, also like playsuits. Rule in my house is no bum cheeks hanging out... or rollers in your hair 🤣🤣🤣

She is 15 let her wear what she wants! I was a kid once and I was restricted in what I was allowed to wear (teenager in the 80's ) I always used to feel awful when I was with my friends)
I am going to allow my daughter to wear what she wants when she is a teenager and be allowed to use make up (I wasn't lol) My daughter is 7 and has a choice of clothes she can wear (though at 7 there is not much arguing, though I would not allow her to wear or buy a bra that she saw for her age on Saturday ) |

She sounds great, I know it's difficult but I think that she needs to be free to choose her own clothes unless it's for an important occasion. It's all part of growing up and expressing yourself. I'd try not to fall out with her over it- perhaps a shopping trip together would help?

I’m not looking forward to this at all!
Dd is 7 and she’s already looking at the dance crop tops and stuff. No way would I let her wear a belly top until she was much older , I think they look so inappropriate on young girls . There’s an 11 year old round the corner and she wears them all the time and even with shorts that have her bum cheeks visible .. 11! Just looks so cheap and I pray the fashion changes by the time dd is that age and I have a while thankfully.. |
