I was actually thinking about this earlier.

I have a bbd booked and was planning to colour my hair the week before.

I hadn’t thought about the bbd affecting the colour but was more worried doing it the other way round that the colour would affect the bbd.

Should I phone the hairdresser to check do you think? Would hate to colour my hair, arrive for the appointment and be told they can’t do it.

I’m going to call my hairdressers tomorrow. Will let you know what they say 😊

I had nano keratin treatment done a couple of moths ago. I originally booked to have my colour done a couple of weeks before on the hairdressers advice but had to cancel and move my colour back a week due to illness. My hairdresser wouldn't do the keratin a week after the colour no matter how hard I tried to persuade her and moved the keratin back a week too

My hairdresser told me that the keratin treatment lightens your hair so to do your colour after. So I coloured mine 3 or 4 days after keratin and all was good.

Do the kertain first if you have a dark or red colour applied as the treatment will lighten hair colour. I talk from experience of doing the Global Keratin treatments for 5 years now.

I called my hairdressers today and they said there should be no issue. Not sure what to do...

I’d move the colour to a couple of weeks after if I were you but then I’m a bit tight and would be annoyed wasting money getting my colour done (I’m brunette) for it to fade so much with the Keratin.

You’re the only person who can decide if you’d be ok with that. I know previous posters have said it shouldn’t make a difference to your colour but in my experience it definitely does .

Many thanks for the advice! I know, I’ll need to make my mind up! I would, but I don’t have the time, I’m afraid. I’m back to WDW two weeks today, so I’ve ran out of time.

I’ve always been dark, but I had my hair lightened recently (hide the grey a bit better lol). So, it might not be a disaster if it does lighten a bit. Need to make my mind up quickly! Thanks again 😊
