Question Resort Fee

Hi, I am looking to book my first trip to Orlando and after lurking on here for a LONG time I am now after some help. I am planning to stay at the Doubletree by Seaworld and if I book the flights and hotel separately (both through Virgin Atlantic) it comes to about £1,000 less than booking through Virgin Holidays.
If I book it separately will I have to pay a resort fee?

I have had a very reasonable quote from Charter Travel, so if I booked through them for the flight an hotel, would I have to pay the resort fee?
I'm really looking forward to going and just want to get booked soon!

You'll have to ask Charter if the resort fees are included. We booked through them for Coco Key and they checked for me and the resort fees were included.

Are you sure that the Doubletree at Seaworld charges a resort fee? I couldn't see one mentioned on their website.

That is a very good question! I had just been presuming they did because it seems so common in Florida .

I've stayed in numerous different hotels in Orlando, and never had to pay a resort fee. I always book separately - not as a package. If there was to be a fee charged, I'm sure it would be mentioned on their website.
