I wish I'd bought my DS and I water shoes for our May trip. I had forgotten just how hot that floor can be. Poor Harrison really burnt himself coming up some steps it was awful. I ended up carrying him around (which is not easy as he is heavy and was bulky with a life jacket on and my feet were burning too so I was half running/ hoping at the time!). I'd definitely be taking water shoes when we go back.

We all went bare foot last year at typhoon lagoon, aquatica and discovery cove. Dc was fine as most of it is shaded, but aquatica was painful and boiling! We shade hopped with the jets but they did nothing so am needing to get something for next years water park visits!

I've bought some for August. Not the most attractive shoes in the world but think we'll be grateful of them on the day. Especially in the wave pool, grazed toes hurt!

We use them - we found them invaluable both in cold and hot weather - xmas 2013 we wore them in discovery cove with our wetsuits and we were stopped constantly by people asking where we got them from and where they could buy them as they kept us nice and snug as it was so cold.
August 2015 we had the opposite problem our feet were so grateful some paths are rough and very very hot in the heat of the day. No problem to take them off and hold them in your hands either for Summit Plummit etc you just hold one in each hand when you fold your arms if that makes sense. We wouldn't be without them and they dry really quickly in the heat - we use the sports direct hot tuna ones too and they do the job well.
