I wear lightweight yoga pants to the parks and they dry out really well after water rides. They're much nicer than shorts which start riding up or chafing.

I always change out of my trainers and into flip flops for the wet rides at IoA. No fun in soaking wet trainers.

Just don't wear white unless you're an exhibitionist.

I find the concept of wearing a poncho on a water ride quite amusing...yet see it so often.
I've found it doesn't take long to dry out if it's a hot day but in the past we have taken yspare clothes for the kids to change into

Thanks for the tip re fitness wear, will tell my daughter about that one

I agree with all the above - definitely wouldn't bother with a poncho! As long as you wear thin, lightweight clothes they'll dry out long before they become uncomfortable.

Just to add - don't do a water ride shortly before a lunch / dinner reservation. We were at IoA and had a Mythos reservation for 1pm. 12:40pm passing River Adventure with a 5min queue, so we thought "yes, lets do it as you don't get very wet on River Adventure". Wrong - we got soaked and had no time to dry out, so we were sat in Mythos shivering due to damp clothes and the air-conditioning. Food was still good though, but we could not get out fast enough into the sunshine!

We got drenched on the water rides at universal so rode the water rides a couple of times each. We then got changed into dry clothes and put our bag in the car. We then spent the afternoon on dry rides wearing dry clothes. In the other parks we just dry out by walking about.

At IoA we take a full change of clothes. The other parks aren't as bad and we just dry out.

Just avoid denim. Do they still have the dryers you can stand in? You could just do that afterwards. We just suck it up and enjoy the cooling off!
