A person after my own heart. Well said

I'm not going to stop them going on anything, I just wanted to know what was deemed as proper big coasters so I didn't head straight to Hulk, for example, spend an hour queuing for it to be massive and them refuse to get on it.
Adding that I have no idea what rides at US/IOA are coasters and which are just VR etc.

The problematic rides are visible from the outside and that will likely deter most folks who are fearful; Hulk, Rip Ride Rockit, Dr Doom... etc.

An exception would be The Mummy, although I think that's its greatest asset, in that you can get kids on these rides and once they discover they enjoy them you can move to other seemingly more scary rides.

The issue with The Mummy is that it is scary in the dark sense as much as in the intensity of the ride. Some kids hate the dark as we all know.

See one of my earlier posts.

To echo what I said earlier there are only 6 coasters at US/IOA (from most intense to least): Hulk, RipRideRockit, Mummy, Gringotts, Hippogriff, Woody Woodpecker coaster. Four of them are outside and can be seen before going on.

Just two of them are indoors - Mummy and Gringotts.

Some people would argue Gringott's isn't a rollercoaster. It does have a vehicle on a track like a coaster but also uses a lot of 3D VR as well. I suppose it's more of a dark ride. It's not that intense, although there is a smallish drop near the beginning.

Mummy is slightly more intense but not to the same level as Hulk or RRR. See Forkbeard's comment above.
