We love Longhorns and last year they had something called American Dinner which was $12.99 for a starter or dessert, salad, steak and one side. More than enough for me. My husband and son upgraded for $2 to a bigger steak. Can also sign to their club and get another free shareable appetizer or dessert. Plus you get unlimited bread. I could share one meal with my husband (if he would let me!)
I only ever drink water in restaurants, not due to cost but to try and cut down on the fizzy stuff. My boys cant manage that though.

We also love Carrabba's and on a Monday there is something called Amore Mondays. You need to ask for the menu. Starter or dessert, Salad or Soup and Main for $12, $15 or $18. Have tried all three prices and all fab. Again, I could share. The bread they give you is delicious.

Love Steak and Shake. Always coupons, funny but so cheap I feel embarrassed using them so just end up giving the waiter a bigger tip.

Has a coupon sent through for one free meal at Sweet Tomatoes and 20% of the rest of the check. Now thats a great deal. This is the only buffet I will go to. Once walked into Golden Corral and walked straight back out again. Not good.

We also love Toojays at Dr Phillips. Discovered in 2012 and been a firm favourite ever since. Now that is definitely one place you can share a main meal. Great deli type place. Full of locals. Never heard another English accent in there. Staff so friendly and we always buy their deli meats and bagels to take out. Again, sign up to their email club for free dessert or appetizer.

We also love Cheesecake Factory, usually visit three times. Quite pricey but if looking for a treat then this is perfect. Can definitely share a main meal. Everyone seems to do it. Except my family of course who don't want to share with me Only our son ever has room for cheesecake. We always buy the 12 piece Cheesecake selection pack from Target and have it at Bonnet Creek in the evening.

For a cheap onsite quick service we like Earl of Sandwich and the Fish and Chip shop, both at Disney Springs. Both good value.

I find it hard to justify going to Disney restaurants nowadays. I think the quality has gone down dramatically and the price increased so much. I know its so that all the people on free dining think they are getting a great deal but I just think off-site is far superior. A shame as we loved our times at SSR on free dining.

We will be on our 14th Trip since 2005 in two weeks. Cant wait to visit our favourite restaurants. Eating out is a big part of our holiday. Always try and find a new one to try, sometimes they make it on to the permanent list but more often than not they dont. Creatures of habit. This year trying Deep Blu at Bonnet Creek and Toothsome at Universal.

We are a family of 5 with 3 hungry boys who weren't so hungry in the heat. We ate in some mornings and had a big dinner when out with a snack or two during the day. We had a couple of meals onsite and ate in DS and Citywalk along with Millers and the like. A few breakfasts out at IHOP and Denny's. We averaged $190 a day on food and alcohol. We got free iced water from the parks and the Coke freestyle cups at universal.

Eating cheaply is super easy in Orlando! If your on a super budget go to Walmart and stock up on breakfast and lunch stuff, eating breakfast in the villa will save you $$ as will taking packed lunch (doesn't have to be everyday, but a few will help).

Supermarket dinners where you get a cooked chicken, fresh baked bread and salad, or ready made pizza and salads can be picked up easily. If your villa has a BBQ, then have a couple of BBQ nights too.

Order in, pizza delivery and the likes are cheaper than compared to the UK.

Fast food, McDonalds, Chick Fil A, Wendy's, Taco Bell are all reasonable priced for a quick cheap meal.

Eating out in restaurants will see your budget disappear quicker but even that can be done cheaply; offsite meals vs onsite will be cheaper and sign up for as many coupons as you can. In places like sweet tomatoes I get vouchers all the time to feed a family of 4 for $30 including drinks!

It's also worth putting your birthday as a date falling whilst on holiday as you get birthday offers too. Free pancakes at Ihop for example
