Volcano Bay - Actually want to go now!

Really wasn't fussed on VB after hearing all the horror stories about it and was 100% giving it a miss! Been watching some vlogs, mainly Tim Tracker as I can't get enough of him and Jenn, and it looks fantastic!

I think that if I get the 3 park ticket for the same price as the 2 park, I'll definitely look into going Don't get me wrong, the vlogs where the park is at capacity are craaaazy! But when people go later in the day or on a day when it's not a scorcher, it does look doable.

I'm hoping because we go in late April that we'll miss the peak times. Has anyone been recently and been pleasantly surprised?

last video from his first trip back (after July blackout on his annual pass) isn't a good advert! Even when he was trying to be upbeat it looked like he would rather be anywhere but there!

The crowds worry me too. Were meant to be going for DDs birthday so I'm really hoping it won't be a hellish nightmare!

Hoping it won't be too bad on august 21 as most of the us kids are back in school...

I know it's a new park but the wait times are crazy and it looks so busy. Count me out!

For now my attitude remains not fussed whatsoever, may change by the time we go, but somehow doubt it. As many have said, waterpark days are rest days for us, this is anything but it!

Regardless of crowds, we are still going to give it a go. We are expecting it to be busy but we will make the most of what we can of it.

So after reading numerous posts and watching many videos. We are going to try visiting at opening time one day and then again but later on in the day, more than likely after the afternoon downpours.

And if that doesn't go well, at least it will be a great excuse to visit again when it's all calmed down...along with experiencing all the new rides being built over the next couple of years

I will be there on August 21, we arrive on 20th so decided on an early morning trip on our first day. I have resigned myself to this being just a fact finding mission and having a look around, lazy river etc. We plan on VB first, Toothsome for lunch then the afternoon at Universal. We will then go back to VB 3 or 4 times in the afternoon when I hear its not as busy. Hopefully can time it after a storm as in my experience, thats the best time to go to a waterpark.

I watched last vlog - I wasn't wanting to go but now I definitely don't! almost an hour from parking to getting into the park! Much prefer Typhoon lagoon, which should be even quieter now!

This last vlog has put us off too. I had a whole day pencilled in to our plans for VB but I've now re-jigged this. As we are staying at Cabana Bay we are planning to try an early entry there and do a couple of hours maybe and then maybe try a late afternoon instead but we are going to wait and see how it is when we are there.
