River Country Re-Use

Apparently Disney filed permits for investigative work at River Country site. It was scheduled to begin early May. Anybody have any news on this or what's likely to be located there?

I know there was talk of a DVC site way back.

I read on the dibb from someone who was there at the time, they had seen dirt trucks go to river country, maybe for land clearing.

not much more news from that and the permit. A DVC resort looks likely

We really enjoyed that water park - our kids were quite young

We have very fond memories of taking our kids there also

Last year we hired a boat on the lake and were able to take a closer look at the place now that it's overgrown and disused.

I hope they honour it in someway at whatever they decide to build there. The odd hidden reference we could go to visit would be nice.

We loved it there when our kids were youngsters too. It was so sad when it closed I’m not sure why it closed it was always popular but I presume it was the water quality ?
