Help, here now. Express pass yes or no?

We are at Disney now and moving onto Universal next week. The fast passes have been a godsend whilst here. Now thinking about universal express pass for one day.

Might be cheaper getting a room at one of the hotels depends on how many of you there are?

At this time of the year and if you can budget for them then deffo get yourself express passes 😊

If you can afford then yes. If you can't then single rider queues are a good bet, I was in Universal Studios today, arrived at around 9.20 in the park went straight to gringotts, walked straight on despite the 75 min wait displayed.

The mummy was another walk on single rider (20 min wait displayed)

Similar for Transformers with 35 min wait displayed and then the new Jimmy Fallon was return time fast pass only so if you don't get a fast pass do this immediately as you enter the park because times go quickly

Is it cheaper to book online for the express passes or wait until we arrive?
Am I right in thinking you don't book slots like Disney fastpasses you just turn up and use the express line?

We stayed at the Royal Pacific for 1 night which gave us 2 full days of unlimited express passes invaluable at Easter time! Not sure about booking online,

Looked into the hotels but there's 5 of us. A family of 4 plus one extra. So hotel didn't appear to work out for us 🙁

Rooms are usually for 5 people. You don't need to stay- book the room for all 5 of you and get express passes for 2 days. Probably cheaper- I did this a few years back.
