for hong kong we took minimal spending money and used our cards most of the time. The same wasn't true in Shanghai, it's a more cash culture. I would say take a small amount and you can always draw out more

Thank you; yeah we were planning to do the same in Dubai as we will probably use cards to pay for some things. Might just get £500 in cash.

A couple of approximate prices that might help are a taxi from the airport to Disney was around £20. Counter service in the park was in the region of £7.50 - £11, I actually thought the food was cheaper in the park here that at WDW although the portions a little smaller.

Thanks for that. Good to know some prices as we will probably be using taxi's from the airport when we arrive, from our first hotel to disney, then from disney back to the airport.

Sounds about right for counter service too. We will be having a character breakfast one day so won't need too much for lunch. We've just come back from DLP where the prices are high for food etc so expecting similar.

Make sure you get an Octopus card...they are well worth the money and top up.
They can help with all the buses.trains.trams and boats and 7/11 shops...they saved us a fortune in travel.

Thanks, yeah think we will definitely get one. We will be getting a taxi from the airport so will get them our first day.
