Mobile Flying indirect with Aer Lingus?

Hi all! Has anyone flown via Dublin with Aer Lingus? If so, where in the U.K. offer this route? Going through immigration in Ireland seems like a good option to beat potential long waits at MCO.

Hi, we are doing this in October from Glasgow via Dublin. Not sure what other airports do it but I booked direct with Aer lingus site, there might be more information there.
We have flown direct with Aer lingus before and going through US immigration before the flight is great, you are more or less straight out the door on arrival at MCO. Would definitely recommend it

Nothing wrong with flying Aer Lingus. Did it last year. They fly from many regional airports, google search your local airport!
Saving time at MCO can easily be outweighed by the wait at DUB for your connection though. For example if you were to use Bristol I think there was a 6 hour wait on return last year. So maybe you'd consider a LowCo to DUB, say ryanair, then have to worry about buggage costs, missed connections etc. Swings and roundabouts!

They go from lots of regional airports, either Aer Lingus or Stobart Air. We went from Gatwick last August. We had great flights, but would think about goung home direct as we got home late by the time we had landed in Dublin and waited for our flight back to Gatwick.

We loved pre-clearance in Dublin. It was great knowing we could just get off the plane and be on our way.

I was (am) looking at Aer Lingus and one thought is that although you pre clear immigration the plane lands a good couple of hours later than the BA/Virgin flights from London so if price and everything else were similar you will still get to your hotel at a similar time.
Having said that I hate the queue for immigration in the US airports.

We are flying Bristol - Dublin - Orlando in August this year. 4 hour layovers each way, but Bristol airport only 15 mins from house, so still quicker than getting to Gatwick. Booked on the day they came out and got flights for less than £600 each for last 2 weeks of August

Daughter going from Birmingham to Dub to MCO in November this year. It was very reasonable fare, I believe.

Wet flying BHX -DUB-MCO in November for 1st time too and only paid £479 each.- we were please with that and whilst we probably could have got it cheaper BHX is so close to home it's swings and roundabouts on costs co pared to Manchester /London

We're going Leeds/Bradford-DUB-MCO as LBA is only 10 minutes away but coming home MCO-GATWICK Heathrow-LBA on a British airways codeshare. To come home via Dublin would have meant around an 8 hour wait at Dublin for our last flight as Aer Lingus dropped some of their lunchtime regional flights.
