Hong Kong Spending Money

Hi everyone

We are about to head to Hong Kong and wanting to order some currency to take with us.

I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers about how much they spent / took etc.

I understand everyone has different ideas and as we will have our 5 and 2 year olds with us we would be doing any high end eating etc but it would be good to get an idea.

We are spending 5 days in the city and 2 at Disneyland.

Thanks

Current rate is 1 HK$ = 0.10 pence

Hong Kong Disney ticket prices:

1 day HK$589 adult / HK$419 Child and HK$100 for Seniors (65+) -I'm liking the latter one!

2 day HK$759 adult / HK$539 Child and HK$170 for Seniors

I'm sure someone else will come along and talk about meals / transport etc.

Thanks, I've looked at that but it doesn't seem to work out any cheaper when we are just going for 2 days.

I found HK to be quite expensive, probably comparable to London perhaps?

As we live in London, high prices are an every day affair. So we are never surprised when we see the cost of things on our holiday travels! For us Tokyo was totally comparable with what we would pay her back home.

That's what we were expecting too. We have breakfast included in our hotel so will be all other meals and sightseeing costs.

We found the same in Copenhagen a few years ago. We live near Edinburgh so didn't find the eating out / sightseeing costs much different.
