If you can dream it, you can eat it!

Hi everyone! We're sat in our hotel room at Gatwick ready to fly off to Orlando tomorrow! I've decided to be organised and start this trip's food report already rather than waiting until we're back.

As you can see a few threads below, I haven't even finished our trip report from last year!

So I hope to try and update this as often as I can whilst the meals are still fresh in my mind.

Unlike my last report where I listed all the restaurants we visited, I'll be doing this report in a day by day style which I think is a bit easier to understand.

Stay tuned for more!

Travel Day

Okay so here we are! The start of a new food report.
We'll start with the meal we've just ate here at Gatwick North Terminal. Like our like trip, we eat dinner at Giraffe which is just upstairs from the Virgin Atlantic check-in desk.

To start we went with the Nachos Nirvana, which consisted of homemade tortilla chips, vegetable chilli, jalapeños, cheese, guacamole and sour cream. The portion size was great for us to share and they were really tasty!

For drinks we both got a cocktail. I went for the Piña Colada which was really refreshing and delicious. It had fresh banana in and so had a really fruity taste compared to other Piña Coladas. Lisa went for the Melon Margarita which was also really tasty. It was made using Midori melon liqueur which is amazing if you haven't yet tried it. So so good with just some ice and a dash of Sprite.

For my main meal, I went for the Giraffe Burger and a side of sweet potato fries. I had a burger the last time we ate here so I already knew they were good. My burger came with cheese and bacon and the sweet potato fries oh my! They're so good. Honestly some of the best I have had.

Lisa went for the Chilli Beef Burrito. It was quite a large burrito filled with beef chilli, sweetcorn, rice, courgettes and came with a side salad. She also got a side of potato wedges. She said the burrito was okay, not really anything special as considering it was a chilli BEEF burrito, there didn't seem to be much in the way of beef there. Also she wasn't keen on the courgettes or the amount of sweetcorn. Alas, the salad and the wedges were still good!

Overall the starter, meal and two cocktails + tip came to around £50
